About RISE

RISE ATL (Residents Invested in Sustainable Environments) is a citywide organization focused on transparency, accountability, and public participation in Atlanta's land use and zoning decisions.

Atlanta is growing. Housing is a priority. We support both. But growth without process integrity erodes public trust in the institutions responsible for making these decisions.

RISE ATL exists to:

• Monitor quasi-judicial zoning processes for compliance with established procedures and public notice requirements

• Document communications between elected officials, city agencies, and applicants in pending land use matters

• Ensure neighborhood input is meaningfully incorporated into planning decisions, not treated as a procedural formality

• Advocate for consistent application of Atlanta's ethics, zoning, and open records provisions

We do not oppose affordable housing, density, or development. We insist that the processes governing these decisions operate with the transparency and impartiality the law requires. When they don't, we document it and make that documentation available to the public and the press.
